Fingerprint authentication is applicable for Login and select features / transactions.
For the following financial transactions, you will be prompted for MPIN.
All other features / transactions can be accessed after log using fingerprint authentication.
If your device is supported for fingerprint authentication (In Android, devices with Android 6.0 and above are allowed), you will be once prompted to register at the time of login. In case you skip and wish to register later, you can do so from the “Fingerprint Authentication” section under “Settings”. Registration for fingerprint authentication is CRN and device specific and you will need to register separately for each CRN and on each device.
Yes, Fingerprint authentication can be turned ON or OFF from “Settings”, under ‘Fingerprint Authentication’. Once turned OFF, you will be logged out of the app for security reasons, and you can continue to login using MPIN. To turn fingerprint authentication ON, login to the app using MPIN and go to Settings.
Kotak Mobile Banking App will allow you to login with all fingerprints available on device including any fingerprint that may be added in future. For your security, please make sure you are the only person whose fingerprints are stored on the device.
Each CRN will need to be individually registered for fingerprint authentication. Only those CRNs which are registered for fingerprint authentication will be able to login to the app’ using any of the fingerprints stored on the device.
Fingerprint authentication is supported on select android devices with android version 6.0 and higher; and on iPhone 5S and higher. In case fingerprint authentication is supported on your device, you will get a prompt to register after login and see the option to enable/disable fingerprint authentication from settings.
No. For security reasons, login using fingerprint will not be enabled until MPIN is unlocked / reset.
